VincentCHAPPELLMr Vincent Chappell, of Haslingden, died peacefully in hospital on Wednesday, July 28, aged 88. Born in 1933 in Wakefield, a true Yorkshireman, he moved to Haslingden, Lancashire at the age of 21 where he married his late wife, Edna. Vincent served his time with the RAF in Suez and Sudan. A former painter and decorator, retiring from Baxenden Chemicals where he worked in security. He enjoyed holidays, especially Llandudno with the blind veterans. He leaves behind son Stephen and daughter Christine and her partner Andy, and daughter-in-law Vicki, together with grandchildren Lewis, Lucy, Charles and Sophie, who will all miss him dearly. Vincent’s funeral service and committal will take place at 10.20am on Tuesday, August 10, in Accrington Crematorium. The family is open to receiving flowers.
