RobertBROWNINGBOB passed away at home on the 4th December after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease, aged 80. He was a long time resident of Finchampstead and Fleet, delighting all with his gallantry, jokes and American muscle cars. He wrote 2 children’s books and was also a composer. ‘Coming Home’, his own beautiful poem set to stirring music has been adopted by the Scots Guards as their anthem and is played at the Edinburgh Military Tattoos. Bob was also an impresario, producing several Sinatra Shows throughout the locality and raising funds for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospices. He leaves a daughter and two granddaughters in Canada. Further information on his memorial service will be provided.

Bob you are an incredible person. Your kind, generous and highly talented. You always had a sense of fun and mischief whenever we met. You were always kind and helpful to our family, Mum always appreciated your support. I would question your hand painting skills on the many American cars you had😂You will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in peace now. David and Miriam.

Bob without a doubt you were a maverick in many ways. Who can forget when you put
stuffed birds amongst the trees in Cranbrook Court not forgetting the hand painted Mercedes. Now you will be " Going Home" Rest in peace my friend.

We have known Bob for more than 20 years as a wonderful friend. He was exceptionally talented and produced some wonderful original music. He spent many hours helping at Cranbrook Court and residents there will remember him with fond memories. His American cars were something else. Rest in peace Bob.

Bob I will never forget the caring man you was. You would always worry about me with my migraines and ankle and would want to heal me and would call Lesley and say how worried you was about. I will always remember our little joke and you would find it so funny and share it with the other carers. I will always smile thinking about these memories, you will always be in my thoughts and prayers may you be at peace now.
