From Roger, Margaret and Madeleine Jenness

For me Audrey was such a kind and gentle person and was so beautiful. Apparently, my Mum told Margaret that Audrey asked to be my Auntie when I was sleeping in my cot long ago in 1946! There must be truth in this as I called her ‘Auntie Audrey’ when I was a little boy.

I remember going to the flat in Leeds where your Mum and Dad were living shortly before they moved to London. Then, as a special treat in 1957 they introduced me to London and the house they were going to move to in Darenth. All these stand out as vivid memories.

I always mention to my friends that your Mum moved to Sweden. This is an inspiration to us all to feel that it's never too late to do something big and different. She is an exemplar which none of us should forget. This is especially impressive as she moved so late in life.
