EileenBRIERLEYEileen Alice Brierley, aged 80, passed away suddenly at The Royal Blackburn Hospital on Friday, March 12. Beloved wife of the late Alan and much loved mum of Paul and Ian, mother-in-law of Sue and Katherine and grandmother to Josh, Ben and Jessica and a dear friend to many. Eileen was born and lived the majority of her life in Great Harwood. She spent her most recent working years supporting her husband Alan in his stationery business, through which they were well known in East Lancashire. Together they enjoyed many years of holidays and travelling abroad as well as spending time with family and friends. Eileen was particularly fond of gardening. Eileen’s love, friendship and great sense of humour will be much missed by all. A private family funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday, March 24 at 12.20pm. Family flowers only please. Donations are being received in memory of Eileen for the British Heart Foundation at www. champfunerals.com/ obituaries where a message can also be left in Eileen’s online memorial book.
