In Memoriam for John William (Biddy) BRIDSON

Grief and death are very different things.
Death is beautiful.
Sometimes I wait to go back home. But grieving as a human on earth just might be the hardest thing a soul ever does.

The anniversary.
The day you took your final breath.
When your eyes closed
for the very last time.
The last day your voice would ever reach my ears.
the day I wish we reached you in time.

The day our hearts
would start that forever aching.
When we found out how cruel both life and death could be.
The last day we’d ever feel whole.
The anniversary of the day you died and so many parts of us did too.

Your life was a blessing,
your memory a treasure.

The moment that you died
my heart was torn in two,
one side filled with heartache,
the other died with you.

I often lied awake at night,
when the world is fast asleep, and
take a walk down memory lane,
with tears upon my cheeks.

Remembering you is easy,
I do it everyday,
but missing you is heartache that never goes away.

I hold you tightly within my heart
and there you shall remain.
Until the joyous days arrives,
That we will meet again.

I hear your voice floating on the wind,
Catch your scent upon the breeze.
I wish I had you here to guide me
Through mourning’s stormy seas.
I miss your smile, I miss your laugh,
I miss the times we’d share.
I even miss the times we cried
Just because you were there.
The ache I feel inside my chest
Is so deep and so profound
That I feel as though I’ve lost my hold
Upon the solid ground.
But in my darkest moments
I can feel that you are near.
Keeping your watch over me
Always and forever here.

Have you ever missed someone so bad, you wished you could climb into a picture of them and give them a hug?

Valentines day in heaven
I’m sending this balloon with a hug and a kiss, to you in heaven who I love and miss. I’m sharing this balloon in loving memory of my bear who has passed away I miss you, I think of you, I will never forget you.

In the New Year, never forget to thank your past years because they
enabled you to reach today! Without the stairs of the past, you cannot arrive at the future.
We wouldn’t be here today without you, never forgotten and loved always.

There’s a little place within my heart
That is with me everyday,
A place where all my memories
Are softly tucked away.

It is the perfect place
At special times for me to go,
For, words could not explain
How very much I miss you so.

And now that once again
Christmas time has come around,
It’s where the sweetest memories
And thoughts of you are found.

My Bear,
You are the most precious person I have ever loved. You make me whole in ways I never dreamed. You are like a star that I can’t look away from. You are my light, and I adore you.
