A true lifelong friend to our family who we've shared many many happy times with. The holidays you and Hazel had with our parents Alan and Margaret were so special to them both. You were so central to life in Constance Ave and for those times we are so grateful.

Mike you were such a lovely neighbour and friend and we have had some great times and funny stories to recount over the last few days
You suffered greatly over the last few years and we hope you are at peace now

Grandad was such an important part of all our lives, and it’s hard to imagine things without him. He was always there with a story, a joke, or just a small 8 rounds of toast when you needed it. Some of my favourite memories are the simple moments spent with him, because he had a way of making us all laugh, even if it was only funny to him. He meant so much to our family, and I know we’ll all carry a part of him with us every day. xxx

A proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he was equally as proud of his own sense of humour, making sure everyone knew when he'd cracked somebody up by declaring "Look at Chris laughing!" whenever a joke would land well. In his prime, he was as quick on his feet as he was with his wit, and he'd always remind us of both. It was always "upstairs for thinking, downstairs for dancing". For certain, we'll think of you forever, and might even dance in your honour later on. Love you always grandad xxx

Grandad Mike has always been everything that a Grandad should be - loving, kind, caring, jolly and fun. I have lots of happy memories from throughout my childhood with him and Nanny, including our amazing family holidays to Florida and Tunisia, as well as meals and days out, birthdays, Christmasses, and lots of happy times playing in the garden. Grandad has always had an excellent sense of humour. He simply saw the funny side when us children decided to decorate him in make up when he fell asleep in the armchair after a family dinner, and he was always thrilled to watch myself, Chris and Ben playing happily as children, even more so if he and Nanny managed to capture an angelic photo of the 3 of us altogether! I have always looked forward to spending time with him and Nanny throughout my whole life, and I am so glad to have been able to share my little pride and joy, Daphne, with him, over this last two years. Grandad will stay in my heart forever and I will miss him so much. Xxx
