DavidBLUNTOn 16th May 2026 at Kirkwood Hospice, David aged 74 years of Shepley, formerly of Kirkburton. The devoted husband of the late Eileen, proud and loving dad of Jacqui, Jilly, Kierston and the late Katrin, father in law and friend of Michael, Jon and Anthony, a much loved grandad and great grandad, a loved brother and uncle and a very good friend to many.

Funeral service at All Hallow's Church, Kirkburton on Wednesday 10th June at 1.30 pm followed by cremation at Huddersfield Crematorium at 2.45 pm.

Family flowers only please. Donations if wished may be given for The Kirkwood c/o Radcliffe Funeral Service, The Lindens, New Road, Kirkheaton, Huddersfield, HD5 0JB or online at radcliffefuneralservice.co.uk - obituaries. A donation box will be available at the service. Will friends please accept this intimation and meet at the Church.

Although we never had the pleasure of meeting David, my partner and myself are very grateful for the tremendous support David gave to us following my partner's kidney cancer diagnosis last year. David's help, advice and support was invaluable during a difficult period. He was always very positive in his approach even when unwell himself. RIP David. Condolences to your family

David and Eileen were both great contributors to the local community and even when they lived in the Peak District for a while they always were in touch and finally they came home.
David has been a Trustee of the Kirkburton & Highburton Community Association for many years and has helped in many ways in keeping us on the straight and narrow with his good advice and knowledge.
He will be greatly missed by us all.
