John WilliamBIRCHOn 23rd September 2020 suddenly but peacefully at home, John aged 77 years of Gawsworth. The dearly loved Husband of Christine, beloved Father of Mark, Jacqueline, Adam and Daniel and a cherished Grandfather and Brother. John will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends. The Funeral Service will take place at the Parish Church of St James the Great Gawsworth on Friday, 16th October at 10.30 a.m. followed by Interment in the Churchyard. Due to the current circumstances, family only will be in attendance. Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the East Cheshire Hospice.

A sad loss, I only fished at Galsworthy 3 or 4 times but I found John to be free with his advice and encouragement. Rest in Peace 😢

John was like a grandad I never had he was always there for me to talk to and make sure I’m alright. I love fishing Gawsworth and seeing his face. I’ve come here today and it’s horrible not seeing him anymore. Your going to be missed so much John. Sending love to Christine and your family and basil xxx

I have very fond memories of John as I’ve fished gawsworth ever since it opened such a nice fella and a good character we have laugh over lots of things he had got up to over the years I will miss him a lot a top man
