Ian was a lovely man I had the pleasure of knowing through playing cricket at Darley Abbey and with Nigel’s Jumper. He was a happy, caring, vibrant, genuine person and it still hasn’t sunk in that he will no longer be around at the cricket club and Derby matches. Rest in peace my friend x

Donations from Ian's Send Off (£1,020 in total = £510 to each charity).

Thank you for your kind words and extremely generous donations to the 2 charities that meant so much to Ian.

Your love and support during this heartbreaking time in our lives has meant so much to us.

We were overwhelmed by how many people came to Ian's send off to pay their respects, so thank you too everyone who came and also thank you to those of you who were outside the Football Ground and Raynesway, it was such an emotional day but so lovely to see how much love and respect you had for him.

He really was the greatest man in our lives and we will always love and miss him.

From Aliza, Betty, Meg, Thomas and Isobel xx
