JamesBARRETT07.06.1932 - 11.04.2008 It is with great sadness that Barbara and family announce that Jimmy, beloved husband and much loved father of Linda, Jimmy, Jackie and Janet passed away on 11th April at Prince Charles Hospital. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, deeply missed also by sisters Eirwen and Laura. The family wish to extend sincere thanks to relatives, friends and neighbours for the kind messages of sympathy received during this sad time. Many thanks to those who attended the funeral services at St. David's Church, Merthyr Tydfil followed by Llwydcoed Crematorium. The bearers Jimmy, Dean, Terry, David, Patrick, and Kerry carried Jimmy with honour and devotion. Barbara wishes to send thanks to those who sent floral tributes and also those who gave so generously donations for the Macmillan Nurses, she also thanks Cheryl and Beverley for help in preparing the buffet held at the Horse and Groom Penydarren. The family would like to thank Father Martyn Davies who carried out both services and gave an accurate and moving tribute to Jimmy. A special thank you to Mr Carwyn Iles who carried out the funeral arrangements with dignity and respect. Thanks are sent to the staff of Ward 10, Prince Charles Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Jimmy during his last days. Reunited once again with Wendy, beloved youngest daughter both too dearly loved to be forgotten. The tears in our eyes we wipe away, But the pain in our hearts is here to stay.
