PatriciaBARCROFTOn Sunday, March 13, peacefully at home in Great Harwood with her devoted husband and six children by her side, Trisha aged 73. Dearly loved wife to John, cherished mum to Peter, Sharon, Alison, Richard, Amy and Adam, loving grandma/nana to 13 wonderful grandchildren, a dear twin sister to the late Darlene, and a loyal friend to many. Trisha was the “Queen of Paediatrics” at the Royal Blackburn Hospital for 40 years and was a much loved and a well-respected member of the working team. Her work was her life - she loved her job and was devoted to it. In her spare time Trisha was very much a family orientated lady who had a heart of gold. She was indeed the centre of the family unit and was loved beyond measure. Trisha was a proud grandma/nana to her 13 grandchildren and centred her world around them. Trisha loved her holidays, especially in the sunshine. She loved to keep warm and her favourite go to place was Washington DC where she would spend hours shopping and had to visit her favourite store, Walmart. Gardening, people watching and bird watching were also favourite hobbies of Trisha’s. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. Trisha’s funeral will be held at St Bartholomew’s Church, Great Harwood on Thursday, March 24 at 12.45pm. It was Trisha’s wish for everyone to wear black.
