Dad, I think about you every day and it is a real struggle that you are not here. Just to hear you say “alright” one last time would be amazing.

I love you beyond words and still cannot believe you're not here or stood on the sidelines at Elliot’s football.

Saturday we have Abigail’s dance show and you won’t be there. I cannot believe it.

The kids always talk about you and mention your name and it fills my heart with both joy and sadness.

I love you dad and thanks for all the memories we have.

Nick x

Uncle Ian was a lovely, kind, caring man who loved his family dearly. He would do anything for anyone and ask for nothing in return. I know he will be up there now painting or gardening but one things for sure he will be causing mischief. Sending love and hugs to Auntie Annette, Nick, Elliot and Abigail and all his family and friends. He’s left us all with memories to last a lifetime. He will never be forgotten and forever in our hearts. Now it’s time to rest, sleep tight Uncle Ian lots of love Michelle, Megan and Mackenzie xxx

This man was one of a kind. My visits to Redcar as a boy were always filled with fun and laughter with Ian and as an adult were even more fun with Ian around. Paint in his hair and a smile on his face as he walked around his garden, he never failed to make me feel life was good. I will miss him but I know that Jackie, Auntie Madge, and Uncle Sid will be there to welcome him.

Ian and his family were a massive part of my live and are still a massive part of my sons lives , he was the most selfless person I have ever met 💔
My heart goes out to his amazing wife and his son and all the family connected to this amazing man.
Many a good card game on a Friday night at the workies with friends and many a story mainly about his beloved Middlesbrough football club, I could write so much about this man but I will leave it with a massive thank you and a god bless Ian RIP my friend
