WayneASHFORDOBITUARY Wayne Ashford M.B.A. 1960 - 2018 Wayne died in a solo motorcycle accident near Prince Albert Hamlets in South Africa on 9 October 2018. He moved from the U.K. to live in Cape Town in 2011 with his wife Jeanette and children Courtney and Carl. Courtney presented him with his first granddaughter in 2016 and sadly his first grandson was born the month after he died. Wayne left Holyhead County School and went to London with ambitions to be a rock star. Eventually he took up serious work as a Purchaser for Argos. Later, he obtained an MBA with the Open University and became a Business Consultant travelling worldwide with his work. He was an adventurer travelling widely around South Africa in the Kruger and Mozambique. Wayne climbed to Everest base camp and Mount Kilimanjaro with his friend Terry Riley and they enjoyed white water rafting in Nepal and scuba-diving in Oman. His last adventure was a trip to the Antarctic in a sailing ship. Wayne was cremated in South Africa and now he has been brought back home. He will be much missed by parents, family and friends.
