MichaelANDERSONMr Michael John Anderson, of Accrington, died suddenly on Saturday, November 27, aged 72. Dearly beloved son of the late Harry and Annie Anderson, precious brother of Maureen, Anne, and the late Tony Anderson, devoted uncle of Siobhan and Andrew, Louisa and Donato, and Clare and Lee, amazing great-uncle to Mathilda, Bertie, Annie, Betsy, Dottie, and Kitty. Michael held administrative posts all his working life. His last position was working for NatWest Bank in Manchester. Michael was very proud of his Irish heritage, and enjoyed many holidays in the west of Ireland. He was a keen Burnley FC supporter, and enjoyed following cricket matches. Michael enjoyed quiz nights with family members and friends. He also enjoyed long daily walks and spending time with his family. A Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, December 10, at 10am at St Anne’s RC Church, Accrington, celebrated by Fr Simon Stamp. Interment will take place at Accrington Cemetery. Family flowers only; however donations if desired in memory of Michael to St Anne’s RC Church c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.

Sorry to hear of the sad passing of Michael. Enjoyed meeting him on his many trips to Drumsheen over the years. Remember him bringing Liverpool Jerseys to Daniel and Andrew when they were younger.. condolences to Ann, Maureen, and the extended Anderson family. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
