PeterALLENPeter Allen, of Norfolk Grove, Church, Accrington sadly passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on November 9, aged 64 years. Peter was the son of the late Clara and Joseph Allen and grew up on Thorneyholme Road. He attended St Ann’s School and later moved to Holy Family School, which he left at 16. Upon leaving school at 16, he worked at George Watsons Ltd, where he remained for 47 years, until retiring early due to ill health. Peter enjoyed collecting Eddie Stobart trucks and liked to follow them on TV. He also enjoyed playing pool and snooker and played in a few teams in his younger years. Peter leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years, Joyce, two children Daniel and Claire and two brothers John and Paul, his sister Bernadette, their partners, Gordon, Jen and Sharon. He also leaves behind his son-in-law Adam, and his loving nieces and nephews. He will sadly be missed by all his family and friends. A Requiem Mass will held on Tuesday, November 22 at St Joseph’s R.C. Church, Accrington at 10.15am, conducted by Father Francis Wadsworth, followed by a cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 11.40am. Family flowers only, donations to Cancer Research UK. Funeral directors: Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington.
