Michael PeterALLENof Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 5, aged 71. Mick, as he was known, had a long career as both a warehouse man at Hilden Manufacturing and later as a porter at Hyndburn Markets. The son of late Jack and Mavis, Mick was the beloved husband of Kathleen for 24 years and much loved step-father to Karoline and Christopher and father-in-law and friend to Richard. Mick was also a loved brother to Gail, Keith, Joe, David and Jonny and brother-in-law to their wives, and a much loved uncle to their children. A sociable man, Mick made many friends throughout his life and played a lifetime of competitive dominoes, with his last league team being Platt Social Club. Mick’s funeral was due to take place on Thursday, September 15 at Accrington Crematorium at 3pm, followed by a celebration of his life at the Canine Club, Accrington. Family flowers please, and the family asks for donations to Cancer Research UK via the funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
