AlexanderALLANALLAN Suddenly, at home, on 4th May, 2009, ALEXANDER (Alex), aged 68 years, much loved husband of Maureen, dear dad of Angela and Stewart, dear father-in-law of Caroline and Colin and devoted papa and great papa to Allan, Sara, Sam, Scott and Kelsie. In the quiet of the evening, I sit and think of you, I open up the memory book, Of the things we used to do, The parting was too sudden, Too bitter to forget, It's the ones who really loved you, That's the ones who won't forget. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God takes us one by one, Our chain will link again. I've lost my life's companion, A life linked to my own, You're still mine to remember, A Husband proud to own. - Love Maureen. Dad,God called your name so softly, That only you could hear, We never heard the footsteps, Of the angels drawing near, It has broken our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God took you home. - Stewart and Caroline.
