DerekSMITHDerek, passed away peacefully on 17th April 2026, aged 77 years.
Much loved husband to Pat for 57 years, loving father to Michelle, Andrew, Deborah and Christopher, father-in-law to Jason, a loving Bampy Cocker to Jade, Carys, Madison, Darcey, Malachi and Jacque and great Bampy Cocker to Lola and Indie. Derek will be very sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Resting at J.Pidgeon & Son, 539 Cowbridge Road East, Victoria Park, Cardiff until the service at Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium, Port Road East, Barry on Thursday 14th May 2026 at 1.00pm.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to British Heart Foundation.

To my brother Derek. Even though our lives have been separated by distance I have very fond & living memories of our early family childhood, holidays & school years together…So relieved that you did not suffer, sincere condolences to Pat, Michele, Andrew, Christopher & Debbie….R.I.P. Derek🙏🏻
