aid farewell to my friend of almost 40 years today. It was a lovely service attended by many friends, family members and former work colleagues. It is still sinking in that I shall not be subjected to his wonderfully sharp wit and sense of humour not to mention his many words of wisdom. Saturday afternoons at Gresty Road are not going to be the same and nor are nights at Delamere Badminton Club where his absence is going to be keenly felt by us all. RIP Steve. You are going to be missed.

Steve was a lovely guy who I enjoyed playing badminton against for many years. I will always remember his sense of humour, the discussions about football we had and of course his fabulous cakes ! God bless Steve.
