Claire LouiseHOMERIt is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Claire, who died peacefully at Nottingham City Hospital on 7 September 2026, aged just 51 years.

A loving and devoted wife to James, cherished daughter of the late Christine and Stewart, much-loved sister to Simon, treasured aunt, and a loyal and caring friend to many, Claire touched the lives of so many people with her warmth, kindness, and wonderful sense of humour.

Claire embraced life with enthusiasm and passion. She was a valued member of Charnwood Forest Golf Club, where she spent many happy hours on the course enjoying both the game she loved and the friendships it brought. She was an avid rugby supporter, enjoyed long walks, and had a love of the theatre, delighting in the productions and shows she attended over the years.

Music was also a great joy in Claire's life, and she could often be found singing along to her beloved ABBA songs.

A devoted animal lover, she had a special affection for pets and always had a caring heart for those around her, both human and animal alike.

Claire dedicated part of her working life to Rainbows, a cause that remained especially close to her heart. She will be remembered for her compassion, generosity, and the positive impact she had on so many lives.

Though taken far too soon, Claire leaves behind a wealth of cherished memories and an enduring legacy of love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A funeral service to celebrate Claire's life will take place at 3.30pm on Friday 9 October 2026 at Loughborough Crematorium.

All family and friends are warmly invited to attend, please feel free to wear something with spots or stripes to reflect Claire's love of patterned clothing.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in memory of Claire, if desired, will be gratefully received for Cancer Research UK and Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, two charities that were very close to her heart.

In loving memory of Claire, our dear daughter in law, so kind, caring, thoughtful, brave and courageous. A few words which do little to describe the great impact she had on our family.

Rest in peace beautiful Claire, may your star shine brightly forever more. All our love, as always, Jane and David xxx
