Rita,
It was a pleasure to get to know you, and I will always treasure the memories of our Saturday morning shopping trips together.You were an inspirational lady who became quite the celebrity in Lidl, charming staff and customers alike and even receiving flowers from your admirers!
Over time, you became a dear friend, and I always looked forward to our chats. I miss visiting you, listening to your stories, and sharing those special moments together.
Rest in peace, Rita. Thank you for your friendship and the wonderful memories.
You will never be forgotten.

To my beautiful, wonderful, amazing Grandma and friend. You already know how much you mean to me and always will. I’m going to miss you so much but I’m going to smile remembering you everyday. I will remember you everytime I look at my children and the whole family- they are all because of you. I will remember you every time I teach about world war 2. I will remember you when I go out for meals. I will remember you forever. I can imagine you now in heaven, with grandad, meeting old friends and having a wonderful time- I expect you are bossing them about too. Thank you for being such an important part of my life. I’m so lucky-as Winnie the Pooh- said to have loved someone so much that it’s hard to say goodbye.
I’m not going to say goodbye… instead I’ll see you soon- well not too soon. But for now I know where you are… you are just in the next room.

I only knew you briefly Rita, but you were a great friend to my mum in her time of need. I will always treasure the kindness and friendship you showed her. Thank you for being such a wonderful lady. I’m sure you are dancing with Mick and all the angels in heaven.
