Mark was a really good bloke, and I had a great deal of respect for him. He was very talented, not just as a first-class builder, but also as a photographer. Under the guidance of maestro Peter Tebbitt, we had a really enjoyable week working together on a photo shoot for the Island Hotel on Tresco (some 35 years ago!), and Mark also supplied photos – particularly surfing shots – for the Kerrier DC and the Cornwall Tourist Board holiday guides. He was good company and had a very dry sense of humour. We will both miss him.

You came into my life 36 years ago and you soon became a special part of my life! You treated me as your own son in teaching me how to grow up and become the adult I have today. We had so much fun, and so many laughs in was incredible! You took over as manager of the football team that Matt played for and I use to referee the home games and then this made me want to become a qualified referee! So I signed up to the course and because I couldn’t drive, you signed up too. Every week for 4 months you use to drive us to Redruth for the course, and you ended coming out with the highest grades out of everyone on the course! 😊⚽️

I can remember the time you, Matt and I went to Helston Ball Park to play golf and you went first, not only did your ball go flying down the fairway, so did your club, which flew into the car park narrowly missing the cars 😂 Matt and I thought you had let go of your club, but to our amusement, you were stood there with the handle in your hands and for some reason the club snapped halfway down! 😂😂

I can also remember the 2 extensions you built on 2 of our houses, and I loved helping you, and then lastly, you and I built the conservatory at Gwel-Mor, as I wanted a pool room.
I have so many memories of you, Mum, Matt and I, I can’t possibly name them all! All I will say is, thank you so much! You will be greatly missed! Rest easy Mark, loads of love Dave xx
