JamesDOWDPassed away at home on Friday May 12th 2017, after a short illness, with family at his side. James, aged 92 years. Jim was born in Edlington, Yorkshire, and moved to Rochdale in 1975 when he became Principal of Oldham College of Technology. He retired in 1988. He leaves his wife, four children, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Requiem Mass to take place at St Vincent's Catholic Church, Norden, Rochdale on Wednesday May 24th 2017 at 11.30 am followed by committal at Rochdale Crematorium. Following the service refreshments will be offered at the Parish Centre. It is the family request for no floral tributes, donations if desired would be gratefully received to the British Heart Foundation.
