WilliamAHERNE(Cullercoats). Dr William Aherne, retired pathologist (RVI), died 23rd September at North Tyneside General Hospital after a short illness, aged 92 years. Very much loved and sadly missed by his family and friends in Britain and Ireland. Warmest thanks to the staff at Ward 12, NTGH for their exceptional care. Funeral to be held on Wednesday 5th October at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cullercoats at 10.15am and Whitley Bay Crematorium at 11.15am. No flowers by request but donations to the RNLI would be greatly appreciated.
